House Rules
-Housekeeping will service units between 08h00-12h00
Daily unit cleaning consists of our staff making beds and ensuring that the unit is neat and tidy. Additional unit cleaning may be requested upon arrival at an additional fee (dishes etc). This will be quoted on and is payable upfront.
Long Stays: One Bed & Towel change included. These changes will be done weekly. Additional Bed & Towel changes will be charged at R300/week or change. This is payable upfront.
Each toilet will be supplied with two rolls of toilet paper per week No item may be removed from your unit for use elsewhere.
Rooseveldt Reside towels may not be used for swimming purposes. Braai and braai area will only be cleaned once daily, so please be considerate towards other Guests sharing the same facilities. If you overload the fridge/freezer, please give it time to reach its required temperature and do not set it lower as this will cause freezing up.
Kindly note that items going missing from unit will be charged accordingly upon departure.There are covered parking available for Code EB (Code 08) vehicles.Minimise noise after 9 pm – consider neighbours and the Owner on site.Visitors to guests must not exceed the number of guests residing in the unit. Additional guest will be charged a per person rate (enquire from Management for more details).Visitors to guests must vacate the premises of Rooseveldt Reside no later than 8 pm.Alternative arrangements may be discussed with management. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the guest being charged accommodation fees for visitors for that day.
Smoking is allowed OUTSIDE on the veranda only.

Iphithi Nature Reserve
Iphithi Nature Reserve is a12 ha piece of precious natural area in the heart of the green and leafy suburb of Gillitts, tucked between Kloof and Hillcrest. A mix of habitats can be enjoyed, from thicket, to woodland stream, young forest, and wetland zones. As these habitats continue to be rehabilitated, clearing out alien invasives and other exotics, an ever-increasing diversity of flora and fauna can be seen, from blue duiker, hedgehog, bushbuck, birds, butterflies, insects etc. Take a 6 minute drive from Rooseveldt to view what this stunning Reserve has to offer!
Everton Conservancy
Everton Conservancy is the oldest urban conservancy in South Africa. Located west of Durban within the Ethekwini Municipality and upstream of the important Krantzkloof Nature Reserve, it is an area of outstanding natural beauty renowned for the richness of its biodiversity. There are, for instance, ten times more tree species in Everton than in all of Europe. Riparian and scarp forests, grasslands and wetlands provide a diversity of habitats which support viable populations of bushbuck, blue and grey duiker, bush pig, genet, vervet monkey, several mongoose species, tree and rock dassie, porcupine and bushbaby. Serval and caracal have been spotted too on rare occasions. Birdlife is prolific with more than a 100 species recorded, including Narina Trogon, Kynsna and Purple-crested Turacos and the mighty African Crowned Eagle which is now an endangered species. Take a 10 minute drive from rooseveldt to explore this exquisite conservancy!
Krantzkloof
Krantzkloof has 2 entrances on the banks of the Molweni or Nkutu rivers – both have ablution facilities for visitors. Click HERE for directions to the entrances. Kloof Falls entrance is located along Kloof Falls Road between Kloof and Waterfall on the Molweni River. Nkutu entrance is located along Valley Drive between Forest Hills and Waterfall on the banks of the Nkutu River. An ENTRANCE FEE is payable at the picnic sites – R50 per adult (12 years and older) and R20 per child (under 12 years) – CASH ONLY – The reserve has a number of self-guided walks which are marked with colour coded route markers to match the routes on the visitor guide and map which can be purchased at the picnic sites. – There are also a number of popular rock climbing sites – people using these climbing sites are required to sign in and pay an entrance fee at the Kloof Falls picnic site before proceeding to the climbing sites.
